Brand identity for a new digital drug tracing product that enhances security and safety in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
The challenge
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) developed a new digital drug tracing product to improve transparency in the pharmaceutical supply chain and patient safety.
As part of this effort, my team designed a brand identity to help NABP launch the new product to multiple new customers segments.
Product naming workshop
We brainstormed viable product names while taking into consideration the product’s benefits and unique differentiators.
75+ product names generated and tested with industry experts
Brand personality exploration
We workshopped key descriptors by mapping traits on spectrums to define the brand's personality.
Visual identity concept development
Building on our naming and brand personality workshops, we created brand identity concepts for our top 3 name contenders, featuring curated color palettes, typography, patterns, and photography styles that reflected the distinct personalities we aimed to express.
Approved concept: Pulse

Lastly, we organized a 16-week marketing campaign through LinkedIn posts, Google ads, 60-second video, and conference swag to drive early product awareness and adoption.
Drove consistent application of new brand identity for customer product awareness.
Expanded my team’s project scope to support design system and user acceptance testing phases, increasing our contract with NABP by 5x in under 1 year.
Impact and feedback
